27th meal served this morning.
Christ is risen! What a wonderful way to begin our time in the park today—with a reminder about Easter and what it means to believers. Our devotion time focused on Christ’s sacrifice for each of us and the glorious grace we receive through our acceptance of salvation.
The weather is warming up and that change is bringing more people to the park each week. We have some regulars who have become our friends. By getting to know them, we are able to follow up on specific prayer requests. There have also been a lot of new faces over the last couple of weeks. It is neat to get to speak with and learn more about those we serve. Conversations are so important.
Two members of our team were blessed by a man who joined us for the first time today. These team members prayed with him and then were so encouraged when he prayed for them in return. He shared with these team members how important it is to feed people and that we must persevere in using food as a vehicle to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Another team member was able to pray with a woman whose mom is in a difficult situation and then to rejoice with that same woman when she shared that she now has an apartment. God is so gracious in building relationships!
The power of prayer makes all of this possible. If you would like to pray specifically for the people we meet each week, please send an e-mail to info@graceskitchen.org, and we will add you to our prayer e-mail list. We appreciate your prayers for Grace’s Kitchen as we work toward opening a restaurant. Soli Deo Gloria!
