34th meal served this morning.

Each week, our time in the park is ordained by God and for that we are thankful. What a blessing it is to meet and talk to our new friends! Through our conversations, we are able to share in the joys, struggles, and specific prayer requests of these precious people. God has shown us how similar His children’s needs and desires are, despite our different circumstances. It is through prayer requests that we see God working in people’s lives. Today we had several people share praises for answers to things we had been praying about for them. Soli Deo Gloria!

It is an awesome responsibility that those in the park entrust their requests to us, knowing that our team will truly pray for their needs. Often people will come up to the team member writing down that week’s requests and share a need to be included in “that prayer notebook.” Seeing so many people willing to share requests is humbling. God is working on their hearts, softening them to His presence. It makes a difference to them when we ask about a specific request from the previous week to see if there has been a resolution and rejoicing if that’s the case. It also matters that we express that we are continuing to pray if a resolution hasn’t come yet. By meeting people where they are, we are able to share God’s love with them.

Please continue to pray that the people we serve will come to know Christ as their Savior and Lord. He is all we need. “But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, ‘Let God be exalted.’ Yet I am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer; O Lord, do not delay.” Psalm 70:4-5
