Cheese Grits are included in our rotating menu that we serve at Linn Park on Thursdays.
1 cup chicken stock
2 cups milk or cream
1 cup water
1 cup grits
4 Tbsp. butter
1 cup (4 oz.) Cheddar cheese, grated
Salt and pepper to taste
- Bring chicken stock and next 2 ingredients to a boil in a saucepan. Gradually whisk in grits; return to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring often, 10 to 15 minutes or until grits are done. Stir in butter, cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
